Auctioneer's Note: A Super Rare Offering! * Line consists of the following: 1st - GreCon Dimter Combipact CO5 Finger Joint for doing vert & horiz finger joints at high speed. 2nd PMI HBR Horiz Resaws (re-rip saws) w/6 lane power feeds. 3rd PMI HBR Horiz Resaws (re-rip saws) w/6 lane power feeds. 4th Group 7 Material Handling Conveyors used to feed the complete system How The System Works: The system operation starts when you put the hopper onto the dump unit and press the start button The hopper raises to the proper elevation at which time it dumps the blocks into the conveyor that elevates the material up and into a short feeder conveyor that runs at just the right speed to enable the blocks to side onto a steel plate that is situated a few inches above where the blocks are introduced into the band saw feeders Depending on the waste conveyor location the individual lanes are set independently to give the width desired while cutting around defects The left hand lanes take to good parts out the strand conveyor while the off fall is scrubbed off into a return conveyor that brings the remaining piece back to the operator The other lanes take the good wood out the strand conveyors into the accumulation conveyors while scrubbing off the edging to the waste conveyor Once the wood enters the accumulation conveyor it piles up until it blocks a photo eye and slowly moves forward until the eye clears and stops the conveyor This happens until the entire conveyor is filled again being stopped by photo eye Having the 12 accumulation conveyors is designed to give you hours of productivity with out setup change Once the conveyor is full the control panel at the band saw platform and at the finger jointer lights up to tell both persons that lane is full You have 12 conveyors to use to separate by specie, thickness or both When the F-J operator needs wood they simply push a button for the size or specie of material that they want This auto-fills the main conveyor and brings it to the operator Once the accumulation conveyor is purged it tells both operators that it is ready to be filled again This system is also equipped with over-ride switches to give instant flexibility and to be usable in case the plc that operates the system should fail • GreCon Dimter Finger Joint Combipact CO5 unit will do vert or horiz finger joints at high speed You have (2) finger joint shaping units w/scoring saws & finger joint heads (2) 30hp, 440v motors on finger joint heads & hogging cap (2) 12.5hp, 440v motors The machine is capable of 5 frames per minute production rate A frame is a space 24” wide by up to 36” long On 4/4 material this is 6 bd ft/frame in the horizontal orientation If you use the vertical method with 4 “wide boards, it could be up to 27 board feet per frame sequence {This method would slow you to 3 frames a minute but is still more than twice as productive.} The machine is capable of doing boards to 20 feet long It was purchased with the maximum HP available and is fully equipped with scoring saws as well The machine was purchased with the vacuum hold down belt in the push up area Additional Specs: Feeding length 6” min, 39” max., 10 average. Chop Saws located on the platforms 90° to the left of the bandsaws (1) Industrial & (1) Whirlwind with scrap chute that takes unwanted material to the overall scrap system • TheGroup 7 Systems material handling system consists of (12) accumulation conveyors that are fed by 6 narrow strand conveyors from each ban saw that bring the wood from the two elevated band saws Each conveyor is capable of holding in “live storage” 2000 bdft of pre-ripped material The accumulation conveyors empty into one main conveyor that feeds the finger jointer itself This conveyor will hold up to 4000 bdft Of material and is preset at a speed that will allow the auto-filling to capacity by itself In addition to this a complete set of waste conveyors that handle everything all the way to a hog (not supplied) Auto dump lift feeders [2 each] one on each side of the system is set up to take the roll in auto-dump hoppers to introduce wooden blocks to the system They are custom construction that is hydraulic powered They are constructed so as to automatically dump at the proper height and return to rest on the floor by themselves.
