Electrical: 480v, 60hz, 3ph, 690amps,
Max panel width: 5ft (machine currently appears optimized for laminating 4ft wide panels)
Max panel length: 10ft (in its current configuration)
This laminating line is currently operated by 5 operators:
(1) Forklift Operator (bundle loading and unloading)
(1) In-feed Operator (panel loading)
(2) Laminator Operators (operate laminator and all the auxiliary equipment)
(1) Out-feed operator (outfeed conveyor and bundle stacker)
Overall dimensions of the line in its current configuration (approx) : 110ft long x 32ft wide x 14ft high (excluding dust piping)
This line includes:
(1) Harlan Machine Co Infeed System
Model: 1458 FEEDER
Serial: N/A
Electrical: 480v, 60hz, 3ph, 10amps
Order of operation:
Forklift operator place bundles of raw MDF / Particle Board on the infeed deck
Chain deck transfers raw sheet good bundles toward the infeed operator.
Chain deck can hold two bundles of raw sheet goods with one additional bundle on infeed rollers.
Infeed operator stands on a platform and manually loads boards into machine as lift system lifts bundles up in line with laminator
Equipped with scissor and secondary set of retractable lift forks allowing partial bundle to be suspended in the air to lower scissor lift and place a new bundle underneath the partial bundle of continuous operation.
(1) Harlan Machine Co Top and Bottom Laminator
Model: 1458 LAM & BC B/H
Serial: N/A
Electrical: 480v, 670amps, 60hz, 3ph
Order of operation:
Raw material is fed into top and bottom drum sander (machine includes Dustek 10hp 3-Bag Dust collector for dust extraction and all attached dust piping.)
Metal conveyor feeds raw panels through a pre-heater where heat top and bottom of each panel.
Glue is applied to the top and bottom of each panel using top and bottom roll coater (66" wide rollers) prior to feeding the panel into the laminator
Laminator unrolls a laminate-rolls and applies glue to the back of the laminate prior to applying to the panel. Machine holds (2) top and (2) bottom laminate rolls for continuous operation.
Machine applies applies laminate to the top and bottom of the panel in a single pass.
From there laminated panel is fed into 3-roll pinch roller to complete lamination process (First roller is rubber coated with heating elements. Second and third rollers are chrome plated doctor rollers. 66" wide rollers)
Machine equipped with (2) Sterlco Oil Heat Exchangers/Controllers
Model: M2A / M29026-JO
(1) Harlan Machine Co Outfeed Conveyor and Stacker
Model: 1458 STACKER
Serial: N/A
Order of operation:
Laminated panels are transferred onto a 3-strand belt conveyor where laminate is torn separating the panels
Conveyor feeds panels onto a stacker where stacker operator lines up the panels and stacks them on top of the scissor lift.
Once bundles are stacked operator scrapes the laminate overhang from the front and back of the panels.
Once bundle is complete bundle is pushed off the scissor lift onto idle roller conveyors from where forklift operator can remove the complete bundles of laminated panels.
